Geotagging
I spent most of the day doing laundry and geotagging my photos on flickr, which is the most retarded fucking shit ever. I mean, if you use a program to geotag your photos before you upload, you can do it in bulk, and you can do it accurately (grabbing lat. and long. from your favourite mapping program); the problem is, all the programs that do that suck for everything else they do compared to what I use (the MS Photo Info Explorer extension).
Once they're uploaded, if you want to tag in BULK, the only option you have is their shitty Yahoo-based drag and drop map, with crap maps and shit satellite imagery, so you can't be accurate AT ALL. Through using an addon for Google Maps, I was able to accurate tag single photos at the locations I needed, and then drag others to the same spot in bulk, but it's damned stupid that i have to find a location in google maps, copy the coordinates to google earth, use the plug in to tag a single photo (you can only do one at a time, you see), and then go into the Flickr map, find the image I've just tagged, and then drag the rest of that set to the same point.
At any rate, I've finally got all my photos geotagged (but uhh, not SPECIFICALLY, because with this retard system it would take me years -- instead, stuff like, for example, all my Hanoi pictures are tagged at my hotel, etc.)
But what can I DO with them now that they're geotagged? Other than loc.alize.us, that is?
