I don't need to go into much detail about this, do I? It's V6. (shrug)
The video was done in one take apparently? I think that's what they said in the making of dealio. This was the end theme for SP.
Well, since I can't shower, do laundry, wash dishes or cook because my water is shut off, I figured I'd upload another video or two before they shut my electricity off for no reason.
This is TEPPEN, as performed by NEWS on the Pacific tour, I think? I dunno. I just wanna say that Tegoshi is totally cute, all the time. Of course, I'm also super drunk and trying to not think about my feelings for HMT or anything else, so it's good to project on other people. I guess?!?! Tegoshi's best in the video for アイアイ傘 though. I suppose?!?! God, what am I, a 14 year old girl?
Anyway, enjoy this video.
This is a newish KAT-TUN video. I think I first got into KAT-TUN a few years ago when they were performing "She said" on some sort of TV show. I thought it was catchy, and I kept hearing it in stores and stuff, so I decided to check out some of their other stuff.
Behold! I bring you new music! This is the video for the newest Kinki Kids song. It's pretty good. I think that's Tokyo Ska Paradise backing them up? Something like that. It's a good song.
Some people wanted to see the stuff I bought, so uh, here it is.
The shopping bag, which is heavy vinyl with liquid filled letters again.
The bath towel. I needed a new one anyway, you see.
The penlight. Plastic etched with the letters, so when lit from the bottom with blue LED, it looks cool. Also has an LED strobe mode, which is trippy.
The cover of the pamphlet, which is like, twice the size of the Voyager pamphlet.
Sample of the inside. Good, giant pics, and lots of interesting stuff I can almost read.
The ending theme from Nobuta wo Produce, a drama starring these two a few years ago. It was good, and it was bad. It had all the good points of a drama, but also had the facepalmingly retardedly overplayed "We must have a super emotional moment that's not actually all that emotional, but we'll make it so, because students must have strong emotions all the time" moment. God, fuck off.
Anyway, the song is pretty good.
It's 1:15am. I've been up since 8am, and I drove 600km today. I'm tired, so I'm just gonna point-form what I can remember. I think I've remembered all the things I wanted to share.
- My seat was Block A3, Seat 117. I figured it would be a shitty seat in a shitty venue.
- However, I was about as excited as I can ever possibly be (it's all on the inside, you see) when I realized that I was 8 rows from the front, and right beside the central catwalky thing. Additionally, the way the venue was set up, the farthest anyone would be from the performers would be like, 5 seats. Yeah, usually they'd be farther away, but there'd be moments when they'd be super close, and EVERYONE could experience that. It was awesome.
- The arrows are the aisles, and in them they rolled the performers by on rolly cart things... most of you probably know what I mean. Anyway, because of the set-up, and the relative smallness of the venue, you could ALWAYS see them clearly, and half the time they were super close (close enough to see you, too!) It was friggin' excellent.
- They sang some songs I don't know / haven't heard in years and forget (I'm not sure which). One of them had them repeating over and over (while the text flew by on the big screen in huge ornate letters) "RUB MY KNEE! RUB MY KNEE TOBE!" What.
- At the end of one of the MC segments, Inocchi and Nagano were yammering while the others got changed. They were trying to impersonate each other, but they realized they didn't really know how to. They tried for a while, and it was silly. Then the others came back and tried to imitate Nagano, and it just didn't work, but was hilarious.
- Before 蝶, they had Sakamoto tap dance for like, two minutes. It was bizarre. He was good, and stuff, but it was really weird.
- They did "Made in Japan" and "Thunderbird - Your Voice", which was fucking excellent! I didn't expect it.
- The girl behind me had a huge home-made Inocchi uchiwa, and an Inocchi hand puppet. She was totally smitten, but was getting disappointed, because he was always either not-in-the-middle (where we were), or when he was, he was looking the wrong way. Near the end, though, he saw her, smiled and waved as he made eye contact, and she squealed and had to be held up by her friends.
- If you bought the "Vibes" DVD thinger, there was a paper inside with a cell phone website and a code, and you could put that in within 3 hours of the end of your concert (along with the concert venue code, to prove you had been to that concert), and download a photo of the group taken that night. I forgot both my sheets at home, and got home too late. It's not a problem though, because it would be tiny res, and trapped on my cell phone.
- They did "Light in Your Heart", and I'm not sure what to think of it. I mean, I think it was good, but (1) it was really loud and I was deaf by that time, so I couldn't really hear clearly -- additionally I was too busy trying to keep my dental work from rattling out of place because of the bass and (2) Leather jackets and wife beaters :) It suited Ken best, though.
- For an "encore", they came out and did "Honey Beat", "心からの歌", then spoke about the end of 学校へ行こう, then did a retrospective of the past 11 years in video while they sang "Believe". Then they left. Then they came out for the real encore, which was "本気がいっぱい".
- After the encore, I was trapped in Block A3 because everyone in my section refused to believe that it was, in fact, over. Even when the security people started saying, "Yes, it's really over, move along now!" they kept chanting for another encore, despite the fact that Ken had blown everyone a kiss, which is the traditional end of the show, you see. Just as they were starting to come to grips with it being the end, some random staff member rustled a curtain in the entrance to stage, and everyone saw it and squealed and the chanting began again in earnest. 20 minutes later, I finally got out.
- Then getting out of the parking lot was difficult, what with the shitty light, and the scads of people who drove. Took another 20 minutes to get out of there. Stopped at a convenience store down the road to grab a quick bite to eat before hopping on the highway again, and in honour of the concert, I guess, they were playing V6 oldies. I walked in to "Music for the People", and it just stayed in the pre-2000 era while I was there.
All in all, it was a fucking excellent day, and I'm really really pleased. Only way I could be more pleased is if people weren't so uptight about bringing cameras into the venue and taking a couple snapshots. -_-
Anyway, now it's 2am, and I actually technically have work in 6 hours (haaaaaaa like I'm gonna show up then, though), so I'm off to bed!
