I haven't done this in a while, ever since they changed the charts at last.fm, but whatever, I'll do it manually.

I wonder if that will appear right? Hooray rich-text pasting.
Anyway, V6 because there's a new single out, and also because I was listening to my boy-band playlist for a while. Tenmon tied for first because I've been listening to the 秒速5センチメートル soundtrack a lot. That's also how Yamazaki Masayoshi got in there in #4. Ayu because I have a shitload of Ayu, and the stuff from the singles boxset is still in my current playlist. Angela Aki also had a new single recently, so that's why she's in there. The rest are just random strokes of fate.
What you have been listening to?
It's last.fm time. It's also Snowflake Chrismahanakwanzaa Festivus. These are in no way related to each other.
Look! Not a boy band, and not Ayu either! Oh snap!
Here's the Bump of Chicken song I listened to most: Hana no Na.
Went out for a drive today. Was gonna buy myself another xmas present. Didn't end up buying anything for myself, other than like, a can of A&W root beer. Bought some postcards to send to people. You want one? Gimme your address.
Some pictures later on tonight. In the meantime, watch this video of Chihiro Onitsuka at her comeback appearance on Bokura no Ongaku (deary, you should have done a different song for your comeback, oh heavens!)
Aside: Since when has Vox offered an option to embed media in other places, in a youtube-like manner? Cuz that's AWESOME.
It's Monday, so it's last.fm time.
So let's see... hmmmm... Whigfield I've subjected you to again and again this week... Big Bang is Korean and they're alright, but not really worth mentioning so much... The only "New" appearance on my top 10 is Whigfield, but like I said, I've already driven that into the ground, I think. So I guess you get to listen to V6 (not that I haven't run that into the ground either) because, besides the new single last week, I also got a hold of the B-version of Good Day! which was released last year. There were several remixes on it of Tabidachi no Tsubasa, and I thought I'd share this one with you, because I really really like it. It's mellow, laid back, and it uhhhhhhh features Ken and Go, so how can you go wrong?
(jeez, i'm such a fanboi ._.)
Anyway, here it is. Vox screwed it up again, in that way it is prone to doing but apparently only for me since anytime I bitch about it I'm told it's my fault or that there is no problem. But whatever, i think you can still listen to it.
Also today, video fun. This is "Infection" by Chihiro Onitsuka.
It's Monday, so it's last.fm time.
Hamasaki, because I have a fuckload of Hamasaki. Chachamaru because I finally got my hands on his album called Air. Today, I'll share a selection from the album, my favourite song, called 'as'.
Last week, Hamasaki released a new song, 'Together when...', on iTunes and other digital stores. I bought it, and I'm too lazy to break the DRM on it to share with you. So, instead, enjoy watching the video. :)
It's the startish of the week!

You know, it's pretty much the same as always. Now, here's my most-recently-listened-to V6 song - Goal, from the 1997 album "Nature Rhythm".
Lots of crap today. And boy, do I ever mean crap!
First, photos.
Yum.

move is on top because of that 10th anniversary album that was put out. Here's my favourite track from the remix CD that came with it.
Now, here's a video from August 2004, being driven to Toyama City for our orientation and training, aka where we were 'taught' by people who didn't know anything more than we did about doing our jobs, really. Mediocrity breeds mediocrity, etc.
It's close to the start of the week.
A new NEWS album, and a new NEWS single account for that. Here's one of my favourite songs off the new album.
Yup, plz to listen and enjoy.
Nothing really to talk about today, so let's skip to the end. Here's a short video taken from the bus as we drove to the DMZ from Seoul in October 2006, me and a busload of Japanese tourists. If I remember correctly, those mountains you can see in the background are on the other side of the river, and thus, in North Korea.
It's Monday.
See-Saw, you say. Welp, alright. I DID download a bunch of Yuki Kajiura/See-Saw/FictionJunction YUUKA stuff, so I can see how it would have climbed up there. Here's one of my favourite See-Saw songs (though, not THE favourite).
The DARK TIMES have officially begun, aka, the wintery months when it's cold cold and more cold, and you can't ever see the sun. It started very abruptly today, with temperatures dipping 5C, and bleeeeh. Can't afford to turn on my kotatsu for almost three weeks though. Also, kind of loathe to heat too much, because I wouldn't benefit from it, but the jackasses upstairs would have nice warm floors on my dime. Fuck that.
Here's some soup.
Chihiro Onitsuka released a new album after something like 5 years. It's pretty good overall, if you ignore the Jesus song. This song, however, is pretty lulzworthy. I apologize for the lack of cover art -- that thing that the converter sometimes does happened again. Party Pants said he'd look into it later this week though, so hopefully it shan't happen too many more times.
Also on this week's chart: NEWS at #4 what with the release of a new album AND a new single-that-is-not-related-to-the-album. (You think that's bizarre? Kanjani8 has a single out as well; there's one guy who's in both groups. Exposure much?)
And now, in an unprecedented development, an on-topic video. Might as well complete the trifecta and make this j-pop day, yes? Here's Hamasaki Ayumi's "Kanariya".
I had a dream. It was pretty stupid. As a sidenote prior to sharing it, I read recently that the #1 most boring thing people can subject their friends and acquaintances to is a recounting of their dreams. I think the people who whinge about people sharing their dreams are just wankers who don't have any of their own, and should be ignored. PFft.
There was a concert or something. It was outdoors, like many summer concerts are. I'm not sure if it was a festival of sorts with many different groups, or if it was just the one group. (Psst, it was a V6 concert, shut up). Anyway, I was on stage, with this very tall latin woman in a dress and hair piled on top of her head in an elaborate coiffe. She never moved from her place on stage, like her feet were rooted there or something. Anyway, the stage was set up strangely. At the front of the stage, blocking the audience from seeing the middle portion of it, was a curtain. At the back of the stage was another curtain that blocked the backstage area. The portion of this back curtain that corresponded to the curtain at the front was missing. People from various angles could thus see right into the back stage area. The latin woman and myself were MCs or something. We were speaking Japanese, but everything we said was being displayed in English on a screen someplace for the audience to read. There was a bit of banter while the uhhhh group got into their next costumes, (Nagano was having black lines airbrushed on his face and down his neck, Morita was tying his sneakers, Ken had been good to go for a few minutes). When they were all ready, they came out and the latin woman stayed where she was, and I was supposed to like, I dunno, play basketball or something with them. I was wearing jeans and my yellow hoodie. It was bigger though, so when they tossed me a ball and i tried to catch it, the sleeves were too long and made me fumble it. I chased it, finally trapping it between my feet. I felt the sense of embarrassment I always do in such a situation. I bent over to pick up the ball, and just as I did I caught a glimpse of someone jumping to catch a frisbee that had gone wild or something, and then there was a gasp from the audience, but I couldn't grab the ball and I couldn't stand up. A few moments later, I woke up.
Stupid dreams.
It is Monday.
Top artists for the week. Abingdon Boys School is there because I actually specifically downloaded an album. You see, I hadn't realized that it was TMRevolution with a band, so I was like "pfft, what a silly name for a group" and had never bothered downloading anything. My bad! Here's a song. The video will come eventually during random-video-of-the-day.
I got an e-mail from the Ayumi Hamasaki fan club today that the applications for the lottery for the tickets for the New Year's Countdown concert at Yoyogi were opening today and would be open for the next week. I applied. It's much easier than the V6 method was. With the V6 thing, you had to full out a postal transfer, send the money to them with a buttload of information, wait like, 6 weeks, call a number to find out if you'd gotten tickets (you could only hear the results twice), and it was all pretty daunting for someone like me with dodgy Japanese and shit listening skills. Thankfully my friend Angel helped me out or I never would have made it to the V6 concert.
With the Ayumi Hamasaki stuff though, it's so much easier. To join the fanclub, i filled out some forms on the internet (internet has tools to help me read japanese, so it's easier), then they send a thing you take to convenience store to pay with, and then they send you shit. To apply for tickets, you go to a website, it already knows your name/birthdate/address/etc., because it accesses your fanclub information. Applications are open for a week. 4 days after closing, the results are up, which you can check online as many times as you want. IF you are successful in getting tickets, you get a reservation number, which you take to a convenience store, punch into a computer, and bam, you get a stub to give to the cashier, who will take your money and print your tickets. I mean, it's the same amount of steps, but for me? Hella easier.
I'm really hoping I get the new year's even concert, and not the sunday-before concert (though, either will be fine, ultimately).
In this post, I am a j-pop nerd. :( :)
Now have an unrelated video, taken the same night as all those sunset pics a few weeks back.
