He came out for dinner and drinks with me. Gave me a cute present. We went to another bar afterwards for more drinking. He slept on a futon on my floor because there were no more trains and he couldn't drive. He snores, but not too loudly. I look forward to drinking with him again.
The aforementioned cute gift. It's a panda mug, with a little perching panda spoon :)
When perusing the variety of discount White Day chocolates the week after white day, I came across this. It is a poo. Inside the poo are gummi poos. When you are finished, there is a slot on the back you can cut off to make a nice little poo bank. Poo.
I thought I heard a noise. But we're safe here in Umbrella Corp. Employee Housing, aren't we? Wait, Jill, where are you going?
Moments later, the zombies attacked.
My b-day present from skylarkza. It's a happiness (hapenis?) charm from the penis festival in Nagoya. Nearly everything a boy could ask for!
Now rock out to this in comemmoration of the end of the awesomest TV series ever.
So, today marked the release of the new Ayumi Hamasaki double A-side single Rule/Sparkle. Rule, of course, is the theme for Dragonball Evolution. Sparkle is just the song for a honda commercial or something.
The single also came with remixes of her last double A-side single, GREEN/Days. This remix, in particular, is pretty rofltastic, but kind of grows on ya. Give it a listen.
PS: Fuck Vox, AGAIN, for fucking fuckfuckfucking the cover art etc. IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PROPERLY READ THE METADATA AND COVER ART, DESPITE MY SETTING IT UP USING THE PROGRAM YOU FUCKS HAVE RECOMMENDED, THEN DON'T FUCKING OFFER TO DO IT, ASSHOLES.
Like this video.
So, earlier this month I went to a Gackt concert. I don't know if I wrote about it. Maybe I did in passing. Anyway, he did songs from his new single (GHOST and Blue Lagoon), and GHOST was hella catchy, so I actually bought the single. It's pretty good. It's uhhh, um. If you don't like the "autotune as vocoder" effect that's taken over music in recent years (an effect for which I place the blame solely on Cher), you may not like it, but I think it works in this particular case.
Anyway, I don't think the creatives in charge of the video necessarily understand the Terminator concept, as is evidenced by the zombie-like characteristics they show in this video, but you know, who am I to judge. The cheesy 80s-style rotoscoping is pretty win though, so I'll give it that. At the concert, I didn't know it was going to be the Sarah Connor chronicles image song, and so when the concert had this vaguely Terminator-esque theme, I wanted to shout out at one point WHERE IS SARAH CONNOR, despite the fact that no one would have gotten it. I didn't do it though. ._.
I came home from work today to a veritable postal extravaganza!
After sending 12 Postcrossing cards, I finally got my first (and my second!) today!
Blueberries from Finland and Ireland from Germany. Don't ask, I don't get it either.
Also, notice that the new Inoue Joe single had arrived, but I wasn't home to collect it. It came later, after I called for a re-deliver, though. It's good! Not as good as Hello! was, but it's good. Of course, now that he's done the theme for Naruto, it's all fangirls and noobs, but man, I was buying CDs when no one had a fucking clue who he was, man!
Also, a package from home, in which there was:
*a soft xmas gift, which I believe to be socks!
*Xmas Kinder Surprise
*a xmas gift that seems to be something small in a blisterpack on cardboard, but I have no idea what it is, except that the customs declaration said that there were nailclippers in the box, and since they weren't loose, it fits that they're in this xmas gift
*a can of Dainty Chinese Fried Rice, which I do enjoy
*a pack of Easy Mac
*a pack of Roasted Chicken Mashed Potatoes Lipton Sidekicks dealios with gravy
*a small xmas gift, which seems to be an unrattly box-shape, with a raised circular area
*a small xmas gift, which seems to be an extremely rattly (even though there's only one loose bit in it) box
*a can of seasoned white turkey chunks
*a stick of Tag anti-perspirant (the most needed thing in the box, by a long shot)
*two boxes of deluxe white cheddar macaroni and cheese
*an xmas card
*a box of turkey flavoured stove top stuffing
*a bag of salted peanuts (cuz you know, those are unavailable here etc.)
*two boxes of carnation marshmallow hot chocolate, one of which was ransacked by customs, because they probably thought there was either marijuana in it (those danged foreigners!) or sudafed.
Only 3 more days of proper work before winter holidays! And year-end parties! and Tokyo!
FUCK YES.
I like this song because (1) it's pretty nice and mellow and (2) it incorporates train chimes, which are also relaxing and nice. :)
Here's the thing: I've been a fan of Inoue Joe since like, Summer 2k7, when videos for NOWHERE were on Music Japan TV, with no explanation about anything. Then the videos disappeared, and no one had heard of him. I bought the single and enjoyed the songs.
Then, a new single came out and it was even better, but still, no one really seemed to have heard of him, and it was disappointing.
In the last several weeks, though, it seems suddenly everyone knows about him, and is looking for his new single, etc. I thought that was great!
Then i realized it's only because his new single is the OP for Naruto -___- fangirl weeaboos ahoy!
Anyway, here's the video.
Vox decided to get the stick out of it's ass and accept the video.
... sounds kinda deep, but really it's just a catchy club tune. Again, from the Osaka Explosion sampler thingie. It's really catchy. The voices at the start are weird though and make me feel weird D:. But not bad weird? The rest of the time it's kinda happy grooving... but then weird voices coming and it's like, i zone out.
Anyway, give it a listen.
